Green is the color of Islam.

The various caliphates used green heavily in their medieval banners, as well as a few other colors (red, black, and white) which are also represented on Arab flags.

This was the standard of the Fatimid Caliphate:


It is all-green like Gaddafi's flag. Traditionally, Arab flags were a solid color.

The pre-Gaddafi Kingdom of Libya flag was this one which is used by the modern day rebels:




It features green but also black and red which are the two other colors associated with the Arab world.

In fact, red, black, green, and/or white are present on the flags of almost every Arab state, green being the color of Islam and red/black/white being the colors of Pan-Arabism.



The blue with a white star that doesn't look like it belongs is actually Somalia.

4) Form public opinion, brainwash domestic idiots and convince them it's a good idea to kill people to liberate/protect them.
5) Intervenue to "save" the people of this country by bombing them to death, occupy their country, took the resourses of these untermenshes for the "enlightened, civilazed and superior" West.
